Spouse of Zulfiqar Khosa laid to rest

The first wife of Senator Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa and mother of former Punjab chief minister Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan Khosa was laid to rest here on Saturday.

Funeral for Nadra Bibi was offered at Markazi Eidgah Dera Ghazi Khan City in the evening, which was attended by thousands of people from all walks of life including religious, political and social personalities, traders, teachers, public servants, lawyers and large number of journalists.

Later, she was buried to rest in Khosa chief’s ancestral graveyard at Bahadargarh, 15 km away from city.

More than 70-year-old Nadra Bibi died of a cardiac arrest late Friday night in Islamabad. She was sick and suffered from an ailment of the spine and was on wheelchair.

She was mother of three sons, Hassamuddin Khosa, former MNA Saifuddin and former Punjab CM Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan Khosa. She was a pious and gentle lady who hailed from a spiritual and respected family of Hazrat Pir Dastgir of Gillan, Iraq. She was educated lady and her mother tong was Arabic.

Renowned personalities from various segments of society including MPA Sardar Javed Akhtar Khan Lund, Sardar Jamshed Khan Lund, Member In-charge for Punjab Ombudsman Malik Ahmed Bakhsh Bhapa, MPA Sardar Ahmed Ali Dareshek, PPP District President Shibli Shabkhaiz Ghauri, Sheikh Usman Farooq, Tariq Ali Khan Kakar, Sheikh Yasir Moon, and many other expressed their heartfelt sorrows over the sad demise of Khosa’s wife.
