Federal govt spending over Rs5b on improvement of electricity system in KP

Federal government is spending over five billion rupees on the improvement of electricity system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported Radio Pakistan.

A spokesman of PESCO told our Peshawar correspondent that the government has initiated work on one hundred and fifty-one electricity projects in the province out of which fifty-five have been completed.

These projects include laying of new transmission lines, repair of transformers and upgradation of different grid stations.

Similarly, work on the construction of two hundred and twenty KV grid stations in Charsadda, Mansehra and Dera Ismail Khan is also in progress.
