Political gathering in Lahore rejected by people: Marriyum

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said political gathering in Lahore rejected by people, further mentioned that senate and general elections will be held on time, reported Radio Pakistan Wednesday.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Wednesday, she said it would be first time in history of Pakistan that democracy will complete ten consecutive years.

She said political cousins gathering in Lahore today but people have rejected them. She said there would be only politics of performance in the country rather than hollow slogans.

She said, "Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chief Tahirul Qadir comes to Pakistan at a specific time and tries to disrupt democratic system of the country."

She said only four months left for completion of present government's tenure and it is quite astonishing that these political cousins are staging a conspiracy.

Marriyum termed gathering of opposition parties in Lahore as a fixed match and added that this match will not succeed.

She said people of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will vote for PML-N on the basis of its performance in the next general elections.
