I belong to village Belharo of district Khairpur, Sindh. I want to draw the attention of HESCO authorities and other concerned officials towards activities of a local criminal gang that has stolen electricity wires of 11000 KVA. This reprehensible act has pitched our village into darkness for the last three weeks. Unfortunately, neither WAPDA nor HESCO authorities have taken any action against this incident, leaving people hapless. Students, farmers, traders, patients and the general public are the victims of this crime and the subsequent negligence of the concerned authorities. I humbly request the Minister for Water & Power Raja Pervez Ashraf to take notice of this situation and take necessary action to get the light back in lives of the people of my village. -FAHEEM MARKHAND, Belharo, (Khairpur) via e-mail, July 11.
