Expressing concerns on the substandard operation of Al-Khair University, the committee asked the vice chancellor of the university to present the record of the number of students before the committee and announced to visit Al-Khair University in this regard. The committee also directed the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to accommodate the students of Al-Khair University in other recognized universities and colleges so that they may not suffer and their future can be protected. The committee also showed concern over certain irregularities in appointments and other issues raised by the professors of the university during the meeting and decided that the committee would pay visit to the university campus to check the irregularities at the spot. It was also suggested for establishing campuses of Quaid-e-Azam University in four provinces including FATA and AJK to impart quality and cheap education to the poor students at their doorstep. The committee directed the HEC to take up the alleged self-plagiarism case of Dr Naveed-I-Rahat of QAU and verify her research papers through new software again.
