The ruthless assassination of Secretary General BNP and former Senator Habib Jalib Baloch is a matter of great shame for our government which has miserably failed to provide security against terrorism. No one is safe and secure in the country today. The failure of government in even stemming the rot of target killings has been total. The security is especially deteriorated in Balochistan where as much due to lack of security as various necessary facilities, no tourist or visitor ventures for a visit. Meanwhile, the octopus of inflation has the entire province in a seizure and it is literally squeezing the blood out of our poor masses. Mass suicides have becomes the norm here. Poverty and unemployment have created a tussle between the state and lower classes that could only have baneful effects. This situation is leading us all towards rise of anarchy. -SAIRA BUTT, Lahore, July 16.
