LAHORE - An election tribunal of Lahore High Court on Friday issued a notice to PML-N MPA Farah Deeba for August 20 and sought her academic record from the Punjab University. The tribunal passed the order on a petition filed by Shahida Parveen challenging the election of PL-N MPA Farah Deeba for allegedly having a fake degree. The petitioner submitted that Farah, daughter of comic legend Rangeela, was elected Member of Punjab Assembly on a special seat reserved for women adding that she had allegedly lied to the Election Commission and she had fake degree. Majid Karim Khokhar, the petitioners counsel, submitted that Farahs actions were in violation of Articles 62 and 63 of the constitution and requested the court to declare her election illegal. After hearing the arguments, the tribunal issued a notice to Farah Deeba for August 20 and sought record from the Punjab University.
