Six hurt in two blasts in Lahore

Two low intensity explosions ripped through a busy market place of Lahore, injuring at least six people on Saturday, report said. According to reports, the first blast took place in Garhi Shahu area of Lahore near an internet caf while the second one at Begum Kot, Shahdara. Six persons were wounded in the back-to-back blasts. These were low intensity blasts amid at sowing fear among people, a police official said. A shadowy militant group called Tehrik-e-Tahaffuz-e-Pakistan (Movement for Protection of Pakistan) has claimed responsibility of the incident via text messages to media persons. Rescue teams and bomb disposal squad quickly responded. Police and security personnel cordoned off the area and started search operation.
