Two settlers killed

QUETTA - Three people were killed, including a Bugti tribesman and another wounded in Quetta and Dera Bugti in separate incidents of firing and bomb blast, on Friday. According to police, unidentified armed assailants opened indiscriminate firing at a stationery shop located on Toghi Road of Quetta and escaped from the site after committing the crime. As a result of firing three persons sustained critical wounds and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital where two of injured persons identified as Muhammad Naheem and Master Amjad succumbed to their injuries. While condition of third injured namely Zahoor is stated to be serious. Soon after the incident, law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. Police sources said that investigations were underway to ascertain real motive behind the killing, however, it could be a case of target killing. The sources said that deceased Master Amjad and injured Zahoor were Punjabi speaking who basically belonged to Hazara Division while Muhammad Naheem was resident of Quetta. Police handed over the bodies to heirs after completing legal formalities and started further investigations. As per reports reaching from Dera Bugti, brother of a pro-government Bugti tribesman Wadera Bashir Chandrani, Juma Bugti was killed in a bomb blast. Sources said that Juma was on his way home in Zain Koh area of Dera Bugti when a bomb planted on roadside exploded and killed him on the spot. Sources said that the blast was carried out through remote controlled device. However, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
