DBA boycotts courts to flay Altaf’s ‘badmouthing’

The lawyers of District Bar Association on Thursday boycotted courts proceedings in protest against the controversial speech of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and demanded stern action against him.
In this connection, a rally was also taken out which was led by DBA President Syed Nasir Hussain Sherazi and General Secretary Amanullah Sandhu. The lawyers raised full-throated slogans against Altaf Hussain and in favour of Pakistan Army. They saluted the armed forces for the supreme sacrifices being rendered for rooting out extremism, terrorism and extortionists. They expressed their solidarity with the Pakistan Army and Rangers and extended full support and cooperation to the Pakistan Army and the government to rid the country of extortionists and terrorists.
Meanwhile, on the petition of Advocate Zulifqar Ali that the seditious speech of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has not only injured the sentiments of patriotic citizens but also attempted to tarnish the image of Pakistan Army, the District and Sessions Judge Hafizabad has ordered the City Police to register a case against MQM Chief Altaf Hussain accordingly.
