ISLAMABAD - Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, through a letter, has asked the Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz to make a policy statements in the upcoming Senate session on the recent remarks of US Congressmen questioning Pakistan’s role in war on terrorism.

The chairman Senate asked the advisor to PM to appear before the upcoming 250th Senate session and make a statement on the remarks made by certain members of the US Congress regarding Pakistan.

“Such callous remarks on various occasions by the US lawmakers has become a routine,” Raza Rabbani conveyed in his letter to the Advisor on Foreign Affairs, adding that Pakistan’s Parliament couldn’t be a silent bystander to such attacks on its integrity, sovereignty and national security.

The Chairman Senate had earlier, in his statement, conveyed his displeasure over the remarks of US lawmakers and had expressed the hope that saner elements in the US Congress would take note of such irresponsible statements.
