KARACHI: At least 140 stranded Pakistanis in Istanbul safely reached Karachi on Sunday.

Scores of Pakistanis were stuck at the Istanbul Airport after a failed military coup plunge the capital into chaos. The stranded Pakistani wree brought back to the country via a private airline. The passengers narrated scenes of commotion at the Istanbul airport and confusion persisted till they were evacuated.

The rescued Pakistanis also complained about lack of help from the Pakistani embassy in Istanbul.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had directed authorities to take measures to ensure the safe return of stranded Pakistani.

The premier had directed that exclusive flights should be arranged for safe return of the stranded Pakistani citizens from Turkish.
