Balochistan Bazigars clinch National U23 Football trophy

LAHORE - Balochistan Bazigars clinched the National U23 Football Championship trophy after beating Khyber Eagles 1-0 in extra time of the final match played at Kunch Football Ground, Abbottabad.
According to information made available here on Friday, KPK Falcons and Islamabad Tigers obtained third and fourth position in the championship, respectively. In the final match, both the teams fought well but both the halved remained goalless. In the extra time of 30 minutes, Saifullah scored the match-winning goal for Balochistan Bazigars and emerged as title winners of the event. Referee Ahmed Rauf supervised the match and he was assisted by Majid Khan and Maqsood Ahmed while Salahuddin was the Match commissioner. 
Member National Assembly Ali Khan Jadoon was the chief guest and both the finalists were introduced to him by Organizing Secretary Adil Khan Jadoon. The chief guest gave away the trophies, medals and certificates to winning and runner-up teams. 
Engr Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah, Malik Muhammad Amer Doghar, Naveed Akram, Ch Faqir Muhammad, Ch Muhammad Saleem, Syed Sharafat Hussain Bukhari, Shahid Shanwari and a large number of football enthusiasts were also present on the occasion. 
The Balochistan Bazigars captain received the winning trophy and cash prize of Rs 200,000. Khyber Eagles were awarded Rs 150,000 with runner-up trophy while third position team KPK Falcons got Rs100,000 with trophy. Punjab Warriors obtained fair play trophy with Rs 50,000. Balochistan Zorawars player Zohaib Ayub got top scorer award of Rs 25000 while best goalkeeper award of Rs 25,000.00 was given to Kamran Khan of Balochistan Bazigars. KPK Falcons player Asadullah was declared the best player of the championship and got Rs 25,000. 
In the third position match, KPK Falcons beat Islamabad Tigers 2-1. Total 12 teams from across the country took part in the championship including Sindh Qalandars, KPK Falcons, Kashmir Kings, Balochistan Bazigars, Punjab Warriors, Gilgit Markhors, KPK Hazara Stars, Balochistan Zorawars, Khyber Eagles, Shan-e-Punjab, Sindh Saints and Islamabad Tigers.
