ISLAMABABD - Capital Police on Monday arrested eight outlaws involved in different incidents of crimes, including weapons' smuggling, robberies, theft and burglaries. According to detail, Tarnol Police arrested an accused Noor-ur-Rehman, resident of Peshawar involved in smuggling of illicit weapons from NWFP to Punjab. Police recovered 07 pistols, 30 bores calibre, one riffle 222 bore, 815 rounds and 07 magazines from him. CIA Police arrested 02 accused namely Ghulam Mustafa and Ghulam Sajjad involved in burglary and recovered TV, DVD and other households worth rupees Rs25,000. Moreover, Industrial Area Police arrested an accused identified as Rashid and recovered one mobile phone amounting Rs7,000. Nilor Police arrested one Asif and recovered 30 bore pistols from him. Meanwhile, Shehzad Town Police arrested 02 accused Nazir and Jumma involved in robbery and sale of fake golden coins. The accused along with other 03 accomplices had snatched Rs5,00,000 from Iftikhar Hussain Shah in the area of Police Station Shehzad Town. The case was registered in Police Station Shehzad Town on the complaint of Iftikhar Hussain Shah. The arrest of other accused was underway. SSP Capt(Retd) Ahmed Latif appreciated the performance of Police officials and directed them to further intensify the ongoing drive against the criminals.
