LAHORE The Punjab government has rejected objections raised by Governor Punjab regarding the appointment of vice-chancellors of universities. A spokesman of the provincial government on Thursday said the committee comprising Law Minister, Chief Secretary, Secretary Law, Secretary Regulations and Advocate General, had declared the objections of the Governor with regard to appointment of the Vice-Chancellors of six universities of the province as illegal and unconstitutional. He further added that Chief Minister Punjab had again sent an advice to the Governor Punjab for appointment of six VC as per law and constitution and in the light of the decisions of the superior courts.
