NANKANA SAHIB - Police and Livestock Department seized more than 3,200 kg beef of dead animals being supplied to Lahore on Thursday. The Mangtanwala police arrested red-handed seven accused including Majad, Shaukat, Tariq, Ahmed & Amanat. It is important to mention that dead animals beef was being supplied to Lahore from Buchaki, Mandifaizabad, Barah Garh and Morkhunda for a long time. Earlier, the special task was given to the Livestock and the police departments and several officers who participated in the operation were awarded appreciation certificates and cash prizes. Moreover, special teams have been formed to control such incidents because a few criminals are playing with the lives of the masses. The Livestock EDO said that staff of all the district slaughter houses had been instructed to highlight such elements from the society so that timely actions against them could be taken as per law. In order to minimise and control the disaster of flood mobile vehicles have been sent to the area. No first information report regarding dacoity of Rescue 1122 staff has so far been registered. About a week ago, seven dacoits snatched cash and mobiles from the rescue 1122 staff when they were attending a patient who was tortured by the dacoits on the Dhabhan Road.
