At least 10 persons including three women and three minors were killed and seven other injured in different incidents over the past 24 hours.

According to detail, in Minchinabad a pesticide sales officer was gunned down on resistance allegedly by an armed bandit in Taraq Colony here the other day. As per detail, Muhammad Akram, a sales officer of a private fertilizer company, a resident of Taraq Colony, was asleep in his home when an unidentified armed bandit barged into his house. In the meantime Akram woke up and offered resistance at which the accused opened fire, killing him on the spot. The dead body was shifted to THQ Hospital for medico-legal formalities but there was no doctor for autopsy. However, after long waiting for six hours, people chanted slogans against the hospital administration and then doctor came.

In another incident, a 22-year-old youth was shot dead and his neighbour injured by some unidentified miscreants in the wee hours of Sunday in the remit of Mcleaod Ganj Police.

As per detail, Ghulam Rasool, 22, a newlywed, a resident of Basti Pir Khalis, was asleep in his house when four unidentified armed men barged into his house and started beating him. Ghulam Rasool shouted following which neighbour Muhammad Jahangir rushed for his rescue. In the meantime the outlaws opened fire on them when the duo offered resistance. As a result, Ghulam Rasool sustained critical head injuries and died on the spot while Jahangir sustained wounds. He was rushed to DHQ Hospital Bahawalnagr while the Mcleod Ganj Police registered a case against unidentified accused.

In BAHAWALPUR, Daughter in law was murdered with the strikes of a knife due to the dispute of property.

According to details, Shakeela Bibi, a resident of Bhatta Colony Rahim Yar Khan, was married off to Bashir Ahmad some 10 years ago on Watta Satta basis and a house was written in her name as Haq Mahar in Nikkah. However, this house could not be transferred into to her name due to which she and her father-in-law often exchange hot words.

Meanwhile, in a fit of anger father-in-law Munir Ahmad killed Shakeela Bibi with the strikes of knife.

The police registered a case on the complaint of her brother Muhammad Naeem Sial.

Similarly in SIALKOT, Cantonment Board’s employee Shehbaz Masih and his minor son Imran Masih were killed, while, his minor daughter Mehak injured seriously when a speeding car hit their motorcycle on Khawaja Safdar Road here on Sunday. The injured girl was shifted to Mayo Hospital Lahore due to her critical condition. The Cantt Police are investigating the incident.

In TOBA TEK SINGH, a 12-year-old boy died accidently in Chak 287/GB here. Deceased Waqar Ahmad was standing near a saw machine when its saw blade was broken and hit him as a result he was seriously wounded. He was shifted to Rajana hospital where he died.

In GUJRANWALA, two people including a minor child was killed in two separate road mishaps here the other day.

Reportedly, 7-year-old Sohaib, son of Tariq, a resident of Khiali Shahpur was crushed to death by a speeding truck on Sheikhupura Road.

Similarly, Maqsood Bibi was killed when two speeding motorcycles collided head-on here on Sialkot Road. She was on the way to Nandipur along with her son to visit a relative. The police have registered separate cases.

A wheat trader has been stabbed to death by unidentified armed men in village Phuma Sara in the vicinity of Noshera Virkan police. The police said that Riasat Ali, father of five, was asleep in his home when the perpetrators intruded into the home and stabbed him to death on the spot.

In HAFIZABAD, an 18-year-old Class 12th was killed and her sister a Class 11th student sustained injuries here in village Kot Sarwar when roof of their room caved in after rain on Sunday.

According to Rescue 1122 source, two sisters Tahira (18) and Kishwar (17), who were students of 12th and 11th classes respectively were asleep in their room last night. After midnight, suddenly roof of the room was collapsed, burring them under the debris.

Resultantly, Tahira died on the spot while Kishwar was injured critically.

After listening announcement made by the loudspeaker of masque, people of the village reached at the spot and they removed debris and same time Rescue 1122 squad also reached from Hafizabad.
