The Minister for Environment Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ibrar Hussain has said that the provincial government has decided to impose ban on all sorts of cutting in the forests.

The Minister vowed that they would provide force to control the smuggling.  All steps should be taken to protect the forests in the province, he said.

Similarly, ban has also been imposed on the issuance of TP (Transport Permit).

“I have taken this department as a challenge and will personally accompany the officials of department in the checking of TP”, he said. Secretary Environment Adil Khan and other high-ranking officers of his Department and Divisional President “Qaumi Wattan Party” Ibrar Saeed were also present on the occasion.

The Minister directed Secretary Forests to prepare a report for induction of 500 to 600 unemployed educated persons in the department.  He also desired that department should come up with a viable plan to establish Forests College Tanawal area in Mansehra district.
