45 percent Pakistanis report illegal activities

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 45 percent Pakistanis claim that they would inform the police if they witness an individual engaging in an illegal act.

“If you see an individual involved in an illegal act that is harming the country and society, what would you do?” In response, 45 percent said they will inform the police, 30 percent said they will personally ask him/her to stop whereas 25 percent said they will remain silent on the matter.

The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. A nationally representative sample of adult men and women, from across the four provinces, were asked this question during April.
