PESHAWAR: The anti-polio vaccination campaign was successfully completed on Monday in Kurram Agency under the security arrangements of Pak Army where 120,000 children were administered polio drops during the last three days.

Political Agent Kurram Agency (KA) Riaz Khan Mehsud briefed media persons at Parachinar about the progress of campaign which was completed with a special focus to provide polio drops to children under the security arrangements of political administration and forces.

He appreciated the extensive cooperation of Pak Army, FC and Khassadar in providing foolproof security to anti-polio workers. He said that parents and guardian of the children have also extended full cooperation and willingness during the campaign and not a single refusal case was reported.–Staff Reporter

He said the government endeavours to wipe out polio has produced excellent results as no polio case has been reported from Kurram Agency during the last two years. During the campaign he said 492 teams including 22 transits teams have performed their duties and visited door to door by vaccinating kids in 32 union councils.
