In the closed door informal meetings held at the PM House, the overall security plan also came under discussion and it was decided that all the provinces were already given the alerts about the expected terrorist attacks in some of the major cities across the country with the federal capital, Lahore and Karachi could be the priority areas for the terrorists who had already come up with serious threats in this regard.
In another development the prime minister rang up Afghan President Hamid Karzai seeking his support in the ongoing operation against militants and requested him to beef up security deployment on their side of Pak-Afghan border to check the crossing over of the militants into Afghanistan.
