On the complaint of the Pirmahal assistant commissioner, police have registered a case against 87 residents of B Plot locality on the charge of attacking and damaging the AC's vehicle and injuring six TMA employees.

Khalid Mahmood informed the police that in order to retrieve grabbed land, he and TMA staff started operation on Saturday when the accused including women attacked and pelted the team with stones. As a result, he added, his vehicle was damaged while six employees were seriously wounded. Police arrested two of the nominated accused Noor Muhammad and Akram Shah.

The arrested persons said that they and others were staging protest at Ghosia Chowk when the TMA staff and AC were attacked and they were unaware about the attackers. They demanded withdrawal the case.
