BAHAWALPUR -State Minister for Education Engineer Baligur Rehman said that the youth can be enabled to earn their livelihood by providing them with skills education. That’s why the government is providing skills education opportunities to the youth under the Prime Minister Youth Skill Development Programme.

He remarked while addressing a ceremony held for distribution certificates among students who completed different courses under the Prime Minister Youth Skill Development Programme.

Federal Minister congratulated the students on completing courses, adding that Pakistan’s future was linked with the youth’s prosperity. He said that the government was taking steps for the welfare and development of the youth and providing more and more opportunities of education to equip them for future challenges. He termed the Youth Skill Development Programme a great project, saying that skilled and educated youth would play a great in economic development of the country.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the country was on the way to prosperity and in this year also new internship programmes were being started according to which they would be provided with technical education while monthly scholarship would also be provided. Talking about Bahawalpur, Balighur Rehman said that several development projects had been completed which included dual carriageway, overhead bridge, underpass, Vocational Training Institute, Degree Colleges and Model Bazaar.
