QUETTA - Two oil tankers carrying fuel for US-led coalition forces deployed in Afghanistan were destroyed when unidentified armed assailants opened indiscriminate firing at them in Kachchi district of Balochistan on Tuesday. According to police sources, the oil tankers were heading towards Afghanistan. When both vehicles reached Mushkaf area of Kachchi district, unidentified attackers opened firing at them with sophisticated weapons. Resultantly, both tankers were destroyed after catching fire. However, the inmates of the tankers remained unhurt. Getting information about the incident, police reached the site and cordoned off the area. In the meanwhile, unidentified persons opened fire at a container carrying goods for NATO troops stationed in Afghanistan, near Kalat town of Balochistan. Two persons sustained serious injuries due to attack. They have been shifted to local hospital for treatment. Police have registered cases against unidentified attackers and started investigation.
