ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that his Government was taking all possible steps to bring less developed areas at par with the other parts of the country. The Prime Minister was talking to CM Balochistan, Nawab Aslam Raeesani who called on him here at the PM House on Tuesday. The PM said Balochistan had the potential to develop with appropriate utilisation of opportunities and resources. Nawab Aslam Raeesani hailed the Governments concerns for needs of the province and expressed confidence that the Balochistan Package would help to bring about the desired socio-economic changes in the province. The PM told Balochistan CM that he had already asked the Finance Ministry to release the requisite funds for Balochistan. The Prime Minister said that his Government believed in the provincial autonomy and further added that the Parliamentary Committee for Constitutional Reforms (PCCR) would soon complete its task and give recommendations acceptable to all the political forces in the country. Mir Muhammad Asim Kurd, Minister for Finance Balochistan and Mir Sadiq Ali Umrani, Minister for C&W Balochistan also attended the meeting.
