LAHORE - A 17-year-old passer-by youth was killed during the crossfire between two rival groups near Hazori Shah Darbar in Misri Shah Police limits on Tuesday. The deceased later identified as Mohammad Bilal Anjum was the resident of Madina Colony, Shadbagh. Police Station Misri Shah SHO Mian Afzal said the young man was on his way to workshop in order to get his bicycle repaired, when Zaffar Khan Pathan along with his accomplices opened indiscriminate fire on his rival group including Tanvir and Saleem. The boy received a bullet injury and lost conscious. Bilal Anjum was also rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. The SHO said a case was also registered against the accused on the statement of Mohammad Anjum, father of the deceased and a vaccinator in Health Department. Police shifted the body to the city morgue for autopsy with no arrest till filing of this report. Further investigations were underway.
