ISLAMABAD-Court of Senior Civil Judge Muhammad Aslam Gondal on Wednesday granted five-day remand of former Religious Minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi in a Haj Scam case on the request of Assistant Director (AD) Legal Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Khalid Naeem Butt. Earlier, in a strict security cordon Hamid Saeed Kazmi was brought to the court. Jawad Khawar the counsel of former Religious Minister appeared in the court pleading that former Minister Information Technology Azam Swati had not provided any evidence in the Supreme Court against the petitioner. The name of the petitioner is not mentioned in the FIR, so there is no reason to grant the remand to FIA.
