A private T.V. Channel is telecasting a programme which shows 45 % bogus votes having been cast in 2007 elections as per NADRA record. This is quite alarming as it throws doubt on the mandate of our large political parties. It appears we are being ruled by false representatives of people. It is said if the first brick of a building is laid in a wrong way the entire building would collapse. What is required is that the ruling parties must shed their spurious mandate and call for fresh elections as per certified lists of votes by NADRA. The Apex Court ought to hold the fresh elections in an above board and fool proof system under its oversight of elections.
