KUALA LUMPUR/ISLAMABAD: Malaysian officials have contacted 25 countries including Pakistan asking for help in the search of its missing plane .
The other countries from which the assistance has been sought by Malaysian government are Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Bangladesh, India, China, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and France.
The Malaysian officials said Sunday that they had requested the countries to look into their radar facilities including satellite data and analysis, ground-search capabilities and maritime and air assets.
Giving her comments over the Malaysian request, Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said there was no record or material on Pakistani radars about the Malaysian airliner. She said Malaysia had requested several countries to share their radar information and pointed out that otherwise too all the countries shared information on radar. She said if any information was received about the aircraft it would certainly be conveyed and shared with Malaysia .–INP
