Due to the situation, the people of Thar are surviving in a helpless situation. Children are the main sufferers. Unofficial reports reveal that more than 200 children lost their lives due to the situation from disease or malnutrition. The only cause of both is the shortage of medicines and other basic necessities which are necessary for human survival.
The overall condition is pathetic and heart wrenching. It seems that people are living such a kind of life which is even more pathetic than life in the stone age. In this century, people are dying due to harsh environmental challenges.
The people of Thar are vulnerable and helpless. They have lost their animals which are important for them in their time of need and in usual routine.
Both federal and provincial governments are playing games of mere words with the helplessness of people the people.
The priorities of government should be food and shelter and not the recreational activities at a time of emergency.
Both federal and provincial governments spent a lot of money on Sindh and Punjab festivals as Sindh and Punjab compete with one another about who spent more money on extravagances.
Nawaz compared the situation with Cholistan on the issue. Its clear that both the PPP and N league project themselves in a Tom and Jerry play.
