LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting on Monday in which Chairman Chief Minister’s Inspection Team Irfan Elahi presented report about delay in sewerage scheme in Rahim Yar Khan and two schemes in livestock sector.

The chief minister issued instructions for setting up a committee and directed that the committee should fix the responsibility for delay in sewerage scheme Rahim Yar Khan and losses caused due to designs and other reasons.

He directed that the committee should work on war footing with regard to inquiry into the sewerage scheme Rahim Yar Khan. Shahbaz Sharif said that funds are the trust of the nation and their wastage will not be allowed. He said that no laxity or negligence would be tolerated in the execution of public welfare schemes.

He said that those responsible for delay in the sewerage scheme would not be spared. He said that delay in this big public welfare project was intolerable and those guilty of negligence would not be forgiven.

The chief minister said that promotion of livestock could help strengthen the foundations of national economy and 100 percent vaccination of cattle be ensured.

He said that extension wing should be made fully active. He also sought recommendations within a week for reorganization of extension wing.

Chairman Planning & Development, Secretary Housing, Technical Advisor Housing, Managing Director NESPAK, Secretary Livestock, members Chief Minister’s Inspection Team and concerned officers were present.
