LEAs nail operative of outlawed outfit

ATTOCK - The personnel of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) nailed an activist of a banned organisation during an early morning raid and recovered suicide jackets, hand grenades and other material from his possession. The arrested terrorist is said to be administrator of a seminary where more than 50 students are studying.
According to sources, in the wee hours of Monday the personnel of LEAs carried out a successful raid and arrested Hafiz Habibur Rehman, son of Banaras Khan, administrator of a seminary “Sufa Jawahirul Quran” in Jamshedabad Ghourghushti, almost 40-km away from Attock.
The LEAs also recovered three suicide jackets, eight grenades and other terror related material. The alleged terrorist has been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation. Reportedly, Habibur Rehman, 30, was running a seminary where as many as 40 students from different areas of KPK and 15 students from Ghourghushti are studying. He is reportedly an active member of a banned militant organisation. His three brothers (whose names could not be ascertained) are studying in different seminaries of Hazro tehsil. It is to be noted that in the past many alleged terrorists involved in suicide attacks on former President Pervaz Musharraf and former prime minister Shaukat Aziz had also been arrested from different areas of tehsil Hazro.
