LAHORE - Ambassador of Qatar to Pakistan Saqr Bin Mubarak Muhammad Saqr Al-Mansouri met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, on Monday and shared views on the matter of mutual interest, Pak-Qatar relations and promotion of cooperation in different sectors.
The Ambassador expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in blast in Yuhanabad.
The chief minister said that Yuhanabad bomb blast tantamount to attack on Pakistan. However, he said, the cowardly act of enemies of peace cannot shake the resolve of Pakistani nation against terrorism. He said that Pakistani nation is united to defeat terrorists.
Referring to Pak-Qatar relations, Shahbaz Sharif said that new avenues of cooperation are opening up between Pakistan and Qatar in different sectors and cooperation of Qatar in energy, skilled manpower, agriculture and other sectors is commendable. He said that Pakistan highly values cooperation of Qatar.
He said that a new era of Pak-Qatar relations has begun and the ties between the two countries are strengthening with the passage of time. He said that Pakistan and Qatar can promote cooperation in different sectors especially energy, human resource, manpower and agriculture.
Ambassador Al-Mansouri said that the government and people of Qatar have good wishes for Pakistan and want to promote trade relations between the two countries. He assured that cooperation for the progress and development of Pakistan will continue.
