PTI signals to rejoin assemblies

Islamabad- As a result of ruling PML-N’s successful backdoor contacts, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) seems willing to return to assemblies.

Sources said, ice is breaking between government and PTI since the ruling clique has reportedly agreed to constitution an ‘acceptable’ judicial commission, for investigation into opposition’s claims of rigging in 2013 general elections.

If the commission is formed, sources said, the PTI would also show flexibility in its stance and has signaled to rejoin assemblies its lawmakers quitted last year, following weeks of protest sit-in in Islamabad and massive anti-government rallies seeking Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation.
However, sources said, discussions are underway at both the sides.
