Royal Palm Reds displayed excellence to win the 18-hole Team Championship golf matches against Royal Palm Blues.
All through the 18 holes contest, the Reds team played steady golf giving even shot the required importance and thereby piled up points which added up to 12 points in the team matches and 11 in the individual contests. In the aggregate, Reds assembled a total of 23 points as against Blues’ 13.
For Reds, pairs of Sardar Murad and Abdul Basit, Nasir Mehmood and Asad Hameed, Azhar Piracha and Sohail Karim, Dr Zafar Nasrullah and Dr Tashbib Gulzar played well. In the individual matches, Abbas Ali Khan, A Basit, Tariq Misbah, Omair Butt, Asad Hameed, Waqar Butt, Azhar Piracha, S Kabir, Dr Zafar and Dr Tashbeeb displayed their prowess for Reds. As for the Blues, Imran Miraj, Sharjeel Awan, Faisal Hasan, Farid Malik and Asim Tiwana showed some class but failed to land their team home.
