KARACHI - The Russian representatives showed keen interest for expansion of trade relations between both the countries and highlighted that after sanctions the Russian government is looking for new trade partners. They informed that their present government has announced special policy for investment and trade for new trade partners in Asia region in all the fields.

At a meting held with TDAP Chief Executive S M Muneer, the Russian delegation represented by Maxim Gromakov, chief expert and Alexey Kudryavtsev, consultant, informed that Russian Federation is comprised of about 85 regions which offer a huge market for Pakistani products besides huge demand for food, pharmaceutical products. It was also highlighted that demand for Halal products in Muslim population regions of Russia is also rising.  

They expressed that the positive role of recent and forthcoming high level exchanges between our two countries would help in increasing the trade and achievement of benefits in the future. They emphasized on establishment of regular liaison between the two offices for better results. CE TDAP informed them that in order to establish direct linkages of business community of both countries, TDAP is planning to send a market exploration delegation to Russia in the mid of April.

However, they were asked to encourage their banking sector to open branches in Pakistan and increase interaction of Chambers of both countries.

He assured them for maximum cooperation and support of TDAP for expansion of trade between both countries.
