LAHORE Customs won the opening match of the Javed Memorial Cricket Tournament which was inaugurated here at the LCCA Ground on Sunday. PCB Director General Javed Miandad was the chief guest of the opening ceremony while Test cricketer Ali Ahmed was also present on the occasion. Customs beat P&T Gymkhana by nine wickets. P&T Gymkhana scored 191 runs in 25 overs losing nine. Anwar 66, Imran Nazir Junior 29 and Imran Sabir 27 were the other main contributors for P&T Gymkhana. Muhammad Taufeeq took five for 35 for Customs. In reply, Customs achieved 193-run target for losing just one wicket in 19.2 overs. Nasir Jamshed made brilliant 101 runs and Adnan Butt 72. Muhammad Irfan got only one wicket for 19.
