ISLAMABAD Hundreds of visas, legal stickers and permanent residential cards of European Union have been stolen from different German consulates located in different countries, it has been learnt. According to details, German Embassy in Islamabad wrote an alerting letter to Pakistan Federal Investigation Authority (FIA)s immigration wing stating that number of visas, legal stickers have been stolen from different German consulates situated in various countries. So be alerted as documents can be misused in Pakistan soil, FIA sources while quoting the letter said. Sources further disclosed that German Embassy informed FIA that serial no D39 visas alongwith stickers had been stolen. It is to be noted here that German Embassies started D39 series from January 1, 2010. Source claimed that as many as 850 visas; including stickers and permanent residential cards of EU were reported missing to FIA by Embassy. The aforementioned documents were stolen from the different European and Asian countries. Despite frequent attempts, concern official in German Embassy could not be approached for his comments.
