Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik after the Lahore High Court verdict rejecting appeals of Interior Minister Rehman Malik against his conviction met President Asif Ali Zardari at the Bilawal House here on Monday. According to sources matters related to the LHC verdict, law and order situation and meeting with MQM leader Altaf Hussain in London. On Monday the Lahore High Court (LHC) had rejected appeals of Interior Minister Rehman Malik against his conviction in two references by the Accountability Court and sentence against the minister has been revived. Sources told that during the meeting at Bilawal House Rehman Malik has decided to challenge the LHC verdict against him in the Supreme Court and his lawyer anytime soon would be filing a petition with the SC in this regard. Besides this matter the Interior Minister also presented a detail report to the president on his meeting with MQM Quaid Altaf Hussain on the Hyderabad issue. Sources told that President said that we respect the court verdict and the ministers would face the cases. We would continue with the reconciliation process. President also issued orders to the Interior Minister for improving the law and order situation in the country. The president expressed his complete satisfaction over the performance of the Interior Minister.
