UMCs reported in Karachi exams

The BIEK  special vigilance teams and deputy commissioners caught dozens of candidates using unfair means in the first paper of Higher Secondary Certificate Part-I & II Annual Examinations in the city here on Thursday.  Despite repeated assurances of Karachi Commissioner, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui to the BIEK, deployment of Rangers personnel at various examination centres could not be ensured.
Chairing a meeting held to review arrangements for the intermediate exams, the commissioner had vowed fool-proof security at all examination centres including sensitive and most sensitive ones.Those public colleges where electricity has already been cut due to non-payment of bills, the candidates have to face more difficulties. Inefficiency of the previous government has piled up the electricity bill of various government educational institutions, running under Directorate of Colleges (Central), Directorate of Technical Colleges and Professional Colleges, to Rs37,922,739, causing power cut to various institutions in the city.
