Not even three months have passed since the suicide attack in Shikarpur district that another heart-wrenching attack hit Karachi, killing at least 45 innocent citizens. What happened reflects the incompetence, insensitivity and inefficiency of our so-called government. The people of this country need security, this country was not created for just a few, just because one is not a follower of a particular sect, it does not mean that he or she should be killed ruthlessly.

For how long are we expected to suffer? How many lives would be lost in the name of religion? When would the law-makers of this country realize that it’s high time to take strict action against those responsible for ‘mass killings’ and suicide bombings that so often scar our minds? The politicians need to know that condemning terror attacks and giving out strike calls doest serve any purpose. Through your newspaper, my deepest and heartfelt condolences go out to families of the victims of this tragic incident. I want to assure them that the deaths of their loved ones has plunged the whole nation into grief.
