GIRL DROWNS: Body of a four-year-old missing girl was recovered in Friday night from a canal in Gojra.
Deceased Arooj, daughter of Boota Maseeh of Sardar Colony, was playing near the canal and went missing. With fear of her drowning in the canal, search was made. After hectic efforts, her body was found by the local people.
MOURNING: Quran Khawani for industrialist Mian Muhammad Ahmad will be held at his residence opposite Sports Stadium on Jhang Road on Sunday.
He had died of asthma. He was grandson of late Pakistan movement leader and religious scholar of Karachi Maulana Zafar Ahmad Usmani and father of Toba JS Bank manager Mian Adnan Ahmad. Scores of citizens attended his funeral prayer.
