Islamabad - Islamabad police along with Pakistan Rangers and other security agencies yesterday searched around 150 houses and 50 shops, and nabbed 31 suspects during search operation in various suburban areas of the city, a police spokesman said.

According to details, officials of Islamabad police, Pak Rangers and other security agencies conducted search operation in various areas of Noon police station including Abdullah Town and Madina Colony. During this search operation, 150 houses and 50 shops were searched and 31 suspects were arrested, besides recovery of arms, ammunition, 1100 grams hashish, and 110 grams heroine. Further investigation is under way from them.

Meanwhile, local police have busted 3 members of a dacoit gang and recovered bike and weapons from their possession. A police team succeeded to arrest a gang of dacoits on a tip-off. The gangsters have been identified as Asghar Khan, Aneel and Najaf Hussain. The police team recovered a pistol, one Kalashnikov and a bike from their possession. During preliminary investigation, they confessed to strike at various houses in Tarnol police station, Naseerabad and Taxila police station limits. Further investigation is under way.
