MULTAN-The conspiracy against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is in fact a plot against Pakistan as the enemies of progress do not want the democracy to flourish in the country.

Provincial Minister and PML-N secretary general Punjab Raja Ashfaq Sarwar stated at the party workers convention held here on Monday.

He said that the Pak-China Economic Corridor project would put the country on the path to progress and prosperity but the Jewish and Hindu lobbies got united and hatched conspiracies to foil it. Citing example of Kalabagh Dam, he said that India spent Rs1 billion per month to get the project stopped while some lobbies replicated the same formula to foil the CPEC project.

He said that the rulers looted national money in the past but the conspiracies began against the one who started saving national money. “National kitty was empty in 2012 and the country was faced with the worst power crisis. Nawaz Sharif has overcome all this which is indigestible for the enemies of Pakistan and they have launched a series of conspiracies against him,” he pointed out.

He said that the CEPC would prove a game-changer for the whole region but conspiracies are being hatched by some elements in terms of dharna politics to foil the project. He declared that the PML-N workers would foil this conspiracy through their unity.

Speaking on the occasion, PML-N Youth Wing Punjab president Mian Ghulam Hussain Shahid said that Imran Khan’s corrupt ATM machines were his source of income who wanted to come forth to further plunder national money. “Why only Imran Khan became rich after winning the world cup. What is his source of income?” he posed questions.

Later on, the participants of the convention brought out Ro Imran Ro rally. They carried out non-stop sloganeering against Imran Khan. The rally was led by PML-N Youth Wing Punjab president Mian Ghulam Hussain Shahid.
