Rawalpindi - Police with the help of Interpol brought two alleged killers back from Abu Dhabi yesterday.

A police team headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mirza Zaman and Station House Officer (SHO) Sub-Inspector Irfan handcuffed the two murder accused at the arrival lounge of Benazir Bhutto Islamabad International Airport, The Nation learnt yesterday. Police team reached the airport at 6:00am where a team of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other agencies handed over the accused to police. The accused landed at the airport through flight number PK-262 at 6:25am. The accused had been declared as proclaimed offenders (POs) by a court of law. They were identified as Muhammad Umair and Muhammad Ali. Muhammad Umair was allegedly involved in murder of JI local leader Muhammad Tahir Khan while Muhammad Ali allegedly killed a man within the limits of police station City. Police handcuffed the accused and shifted them to police station for further investigation.

Talking to The Nation at airport, DSP Mirza Zaman said the accused are involved in different murder cases including the murder of JI local leader. He said that the accused would be produced before the court for obtaining their physical remand. JI former Nazim Union Council Dhoke Khabba was shot dead by two motorcyclists at Glass Factory Chowk on October 20, 2014. A murder case was registered with police station Waris Khan.
