UET symposium on energy conversion

LAHORE - A symposium titled “Functional Nonmaterial’s for Catalysis and Energy Conversion” was held at University of Engineering and Technology yesterday.

UET Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Fazal Ahamd Khalid participated as chief guest. A number of distinguished speakers from prominent institutes like Dr Rizwan Raza, Dr Irshad Hussain, Dr Khuram Joya, Dr Rehana and other gave presentations.

At the event Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid said that today’s era is the era of multidisciplinary engineering which is bringing revolution in every sector. To compete the world, it is dire need of time to adopt progressive, productive and result-oriented practices to provide better solutions in engineering and technology, he urged.

He emphasised on academicians, researchers and other practitioners to learn all modern technologies to get grip over the scenario. He said that UET is facilitating the learners to seek more and more knowledge theoretically and practically to ensure the real implementation of the skills at large for the betterment of the life of masses.

He said that nanotechnology is potential sector which requires none areas to be explored. So in this regards, this segment must be focused to induce change in the technological sectors of modern world.

Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences, Humanities and Islamic Studies UET Lahore Prof Dr Shahid Rafique was present and highlighted the importance of Nano technical materials.
