Khosa for ensuring peace during Muharram

LAHORE Senior Advisor to Chief Minster Punjab Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has directed the civil administration and security institutions to ensure the peaceful atmosphere and harmony during the month of Muharam-ul-Haram and all out resources would be utilized for this purpose. He was presiding over a high level meeting held to review requirements of equipments for ensuring proper security cover in the month of Muharam-ul-Haram by Police Department. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, IG Police, Secretary Finance and high ranking officials of police and other departments. The meeting decided to issue necessary funds to the Police Department for the purchase of Walk through gates and metal detectors and these equipments would be purchased immediately to handover the concerned. Khosa directed the police authorities for the arrangements of food vans, and pick and drop of the police personnel after the duty hours. He directed that all out steps should be taken for the maintenance of law and order situation and brother hood among the citizens during Muharam. CS directs tight security on Eid Chief Secretary Punjab Nasir Mahmood Khan Khosa has directed for foolproof security on Eid-ul-Azha. He chaired a meeting on law and order here on Tuesday, which was attended by Provincial Police Officer Tariq Saleem Dogar, Home Secretary Shahid Khan, Commissioner and other officers concerned from various departments. The meeting also reviewed security arrangements made so far, and steps taken in this regard.
