OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - Provincial Minister for Labour Haji Ehsaan-ud-Din Qureshi directed the officers on Wednesday to ensure the implementation of labour laws especially payment of minimum wages of Rs 7000 per month by the employers. He also directed for regular inspection of factories. He further directed the officials for providing better working atmosphere to women, provision of facilities like pension and old age benefits, social security rights, educational as well as marriage grants. He was presiding over a meeting to discuss the laboure issues here on Wednesday. Secretary Labour, Director Labour, Commissioner Social Security, officers of Industries, Social Welfare, Law, Labour and PBIT attended the meeting. Haji Ehsaan-ud-Din Qureshi said the Punjab government was implementing various projects for providing modern education to labourers children and residential facilities to them.
