OUR STAFF REPORTER ISLAMABAD - Nofil Kaleem Imam and Abdal Haider lost their singles matches in first round of the Asian Junior Championship being played in Doha, under the aegis of Asian Tennis Federation. Experienced World Junior number eight Issa Shanon of Qatar scored 6-2, 6-2 victory against Nofil while World Junior No 1, Viladimir of Kazakhstan outplayed Abdal 6-1, 6-1. Nofil Kaleem/Abdal won doubles match against their opponents 6-3 6-2. While talking exclusively to TheNation on Wednesday from Doha, coach of Nofil and Abdal, Kamran Khalil said: It is true both our youngsters lost their matches but they played well, he claimed. As far as Abdal is concerned he lost some what easily against Viladimir 6-1, 6-1 but one must realize Nofil and Abdal have just entered to play in international circuit and this is only their second outing but still they have done me proud and played with a lot of courage and determination, Kamran said.
