ISLAMABAD - Renowned educationist and former advisor to chief minister Punjab Pirzada Rahat Quddusi has joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He announced this decision here at PTI Central Secretariat after meeting with partys Chairman Imran Khan. Imran Khan, while welcoming the inclusion of Pirzada Rahat Quddusi to partys ranks said that PTI believes in clean and corruption-free politics and an educated personality having a rigorous political know-how would always be welcomed to the partys core. Imran on the occasion appreciated the substantial services rendered by Rahat Quddusi in the fields of education and politics in Rawalpindi. The PTI head further said the party wants to bring about revolution in the politics by inducting honest and educated people in its leadership. Together, we would make Pakistan a corruption-free country, he concluded. Addressing on the occasion, Rahat called upon the entire honest and clean politicians of the country to join PTI to bring revolution and much-needed change in the country. He said prior to his decision he had taken into confidence his close aides, friends and constituency people. Appreciating the struggle of his leader Imran Khan to bring a real change in the country, he predicted that days were not far away when nation would be on its way of progress and prosperity. Its worth mentioning here that contesting 2008 general elections on provincial assembly seat from Rawalpindi as an independent candidate, Quddusi has grabbed nearly 10,000 votes. Leaders of PTI Aamir Kayani, Zahid Kazmi, Sadaqat Abbasi and Ch Asghar accompanied Quddusi on the occasion.
